Jennifer Hudson is starring as legendary soul singer Aretha Franklin in the upcoming movie, Respect, and you just know she’s going to blow everyone away. In the meantime, she’s flooring people by casually dropping photos of herself looking super toned on Instagram.
“Hmmm.. what’s next ???!” J-Hud captioned a series of pics. There are plenty of people in the mix, but it’s kind of hard to miss the fact that Jennifer is working some serious abs (hello, pic No.3!). People were all about it in the comments. “You look so amazing 😍😍🔥,” one wrote. And, of course, there were fire emojis for days.

Jennifer works hard to look that toned. She shared in 2017 on the British talk show Lorraine that she lost an amazing 80 pounds, going from a size 16 to a size 6, and a lot was due to healthy eating. “I don’t really have time to do much [working out], so I really just watch what I eat,” she said at the time. “I’m very careful and cautious of what I’m eating, so I just try to pace those meals throughout the day. Like, okay, eat here, don’t eat here.” Jennifer said she’s also “very conscious of what I put in my body.”
And, if she feels like she can’t handle having certain foods around, Jennifer told Yahoo Style that she’ll simply get rid of them. “It’s all about portions for the most part,” she added.
Jennifer also told Yahoo Style that doesn’t work out a lot, but she likes to be active. Case in point: A sweet rollerskating party she threw last year.

Jennifer has made it clear that she’s being healthy and fit for herself, and that’s been a good motivator. “The key about losing weight: You have to do it for you,” she previously told People. “It’s not about even starting the journey, it’s about you. You have to want to do it. And you can’t let what everyone has to say overshadow what you want for you.”
