Coronavirus is an infectious disease that has been confirmed in more than six million people across the world. This is the complete list of COVID-19 symptoms that you should know about.

The UK has officially passed the peak of the coronavirus infection.

The UK government has advised the public to remain indoors in an attempt to curb the spread of the infection.

Despite nearing the final stretch of the COVID-19 outbreak, hundreds of people are still dying in the UK everyday.

There are a number of coronavirus symptoms that everyone should know about.

The UK has only confirmed three symptoms of COVID-19, although chief medical officer, Chris Witty, has admitted that there are a number of possible signs.

A high temperature, a new, continuous cough, and a loss of smell or taste, could be signs of coronavirus, according to the NHS.

Most people with coronavirus have at least one of these symptoms, it added.

But, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shared eight more signs to look out for.

Shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle aches and headaches could all be caused by the deadly virus, it revealed.

Other signs include a sore throat, congestion, nausea, and diarrhoea.

“People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness,” said the CDC.

“This list does not include all possible symptoms. CDC will continue to update this list as we learn more about COVID-19.”

There are also a number of serious signs of coronavirus that require immediate medical help.

Speak to a doctor straight away if you develop trouble breathing, a persistent pain in your chest, or new confusion.

Some patients have also reported a changing colour to their skin.

Coronavirus can lead to blue lips or face, while others have developed blue extremities.

The government has advised everyone to remain at home to avoid spreading the infection.

You should only be leaving the house for essential work, for exercise, or to collect food or medicine shopping.

More than 265,000 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK.

Of those patients, more than 37,000 people have sadly died from COVID-19.
