Revisit Lala Kent's Family Quotes Ahead of Her 1st Child With Randall Emmett

New chapter! Lala Kent and Randall Emmett spoke multiple times about their family plans before announcing in September 2020 that they’re expecting their first child.

“Today is my 30th birthday and I can’t think of any other way to celebrate than with you guys coming through your headphones and speakers,” the Vanderpump Rules alum said of her pregnancy during a “Give Them Lala…With Randall” podcast episode at the time. “I had the best gift given to me, my body also helped out too … I am pregnant!”

Her fiancé chimed in, “Lala Kent, a soon-to-be mother!”

The pregnant star said that she was “shaking” sharing the news, explaining, “I can’t believe it’s a real-life thing. I’m really emotional.”

While she has been crying about “everything” lately, the reality star gushed, “Today it’s very much happy tears.”

She and the producer got engaged in September 2018 and planned to tie the knot in April 2020, but postponed their wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic. Her costar Jax Taylor broke the news on a March Instagram Live.

The Michigan native said he planned to go with them “to the courthouse” instead, explaining, “Don’t worry, everybody is still getting married.”

The engaged couple are aiming for “July 2021,” Emmett exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2020, explaining, “We pushed it to September or October, and we thought that life would be somewhat back to normal [by then]. That obviously wasn’t true. So she called me up one day, and she was like, ‘Babe, we have to move this wedding.’ And I was like, ‘No, we’re not moving. We’ll have it with five people.’ And she’s like, ‘No, you don’t want that version of this wedding. So we need to do the right thing.’”

He added at the time that they were “working” on starting a family. “We are on the Flo app. We are on the apps,” Emmett told Us. “Lala, whatever day it is, she comes in, she says, ‘Give me a baby!’ and then I hop right to it.”

He and Kent went public with their relationship in 2017. The Florida native was previously married to You actress Ambyr Childers, and the former couple share daughters London and Rylee.
